The Nursing Department at UC Blue Ash College invites applicants for our Medical/Surgical Nursing Adjunct Clinical faculty general pool of candidates from which part-time faculty will be selected for the upcoming term (as needed).
The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College is one of the largest regional colleges in Ohio. The college is in Blue Ash, Ohio fifteen miles north of the uptown campus, on 135 acres in a park-like setting. We offer primarily associate degrees in career and transition programs, as well as general education courses and technical baccalaureate degrees to approximately 5,100 students. Adjunct Clinical faculty must be able to teach Medical/Surgical nursing in college lab, simulation, and clinical courses.
Adjunct Clinical faculty members will be expected to (1) use our course management system (Canvas) and any textbook-specific systems; (2) hold regular office hours to meet with students and reply to student communications in a timely manner; All classes may be offered day or evening. On a part-time basis, teach assigned undergraduate clinical, lab, and simulation coursework. Review and respond in a timely manner to all University-related and student communications. Required Education ~ A BSN or higher from an approved registered nursing education program.
Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio.
Have at least two (2) years of bedside experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse.
At least one (1) year of teaching experience in a college setting. A Master’s degree or higher in Nursing. Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
