Who we areAspera Industries is building the cheapest, fastest cargo aircraft in the world, from India. We are designing and manufacturing purpose-built, autonomous amphibious aircraft to move freight across maritime and land routes where logistics is broken. Our first aircraft carries 1,000 kg of cargo, is made entirely of carbon fiber, and flies 2,000+ km.
We are a small, technical team. Every person here does real work.
Who are we looking forWe need someone who can hold the operational and financial spine of the company together. This is not a back-office role. You will be one of the first people on the ops side of Aspera.
You will own finance, vendor coordination, workspace operations, and administrative systems entirely.A few things that matter to us:Kannada speaker - This is a non-negotiable. We operate in Bengaluru and need someone who can navigate local vendors, suppliers, and operations fluently.Organized to an unusual degree - You will be the person others come to you when they can't find something. We want someone who has a knack for bringing order to a chaotic hardware environment.Notion-native - A part of being hyper-organized is to build systems and track things.
Our team runs on Notion.Finance fundamentals - You understand bookkeeping, balance sheets, and cash flow at a working level. You should be able to coordinate with your CA.Hardware-aware - You understand that a hardware company has a different procurement rhythm than a software company. Lead times matter and so does vendor reliability.
What you'll ownFinanceBookkeeping day-to-day - Tally or Zoho BooksTracking expenses, monthly burn, petty cash, reimbursementsBank reconciliation and watching the cash positionVendor payments, POs, invoice processingGST and TDS compliance, coordinating with our CAPayroll and contractor paymentsKeeping records clean enough for investor due diligence - financial statements, supporting docs, cap table hygieneExpense documentation for government grants (iDEX, DPIIT)Vendor & ProcurementManaging supplier relationships for hardware - composites, raw materials, tooling, equipmentGetting quotes, negotiating terms, tracking deliveriesKeeping a live procurement log so the technical team isn't chasing you for updatesCoordinating with the technical team on what's needed and whenWorkspace & AdminRunning the physical workspace - consumables, equipment, access, and safetyBuilding and maintaining operational systems in NotionTeam calendar, travel, meeting logisticsKeeping documentation and records in order
What you'll bring BBA, or equivalent experience working in Admin & Finance roles.1-3 years of experience in a startup, manufacturing, or operations environmentHands-on with Tally, Zoho Books, or similar accounting softwareComfortable with GST portal, basic statutory complianceProficient in Excel/Google SheetsFluent in Kannada and English
