This Equipment Engineer role sits at the intersection of factory operations and advanced automation — working directly with AMHS systems, autonomous mobile platforms (AMRs), and unique robotic solutions that keep our fab running. As a Texas Instruments Equipment Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in a vibrant and dynamic team oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Evaluating, selecting, and installing equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for automating the operational flow of company products

Collaborating with Smart Manufacturing & Automation domain to align on sustainable, global solutions for legacy operations

Overseeing the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment

Keeping current on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues

Designing and implementing unique solutions to tackle problems that don't have a predefined path to resolution

Studying equipment performance and reliability

Establishing programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process

Providing technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations

Defining and writing preventative maintenance schedules

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering or related engineering degree

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working in a manufacturing environment as an Equipment Engineer with AMHS and/or mobile platforms and/or 6-axis robots

Preferred Qualifications

Equipment experience with Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS), AGV or AMR platforms, industrial and collaborative 6 axis arm robots, or wafer sorters

Experience working in a Semiconductor manufacturing environment as an Equipment Engineer with AMHS and/or mobile platforms and/or 6-axis robots

Prior experience with Semiconductor process groups and/or factory operations

Knowledge of coding languages such as python, JavaScript, html

Strong analytical problem solving skills, comfortable working with data to get to root cause and using data to drive decision making

Experience on tool monitoring and interdiction software, and equipment maintenance and documentation

Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, and SPC techniques. Experienced with semiconductor cleanroom protocol and behaviors.

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills

Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions

Ability to take the initiative and drive for results

Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery

Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationship
