Job DescriptionThe TD Wealth Investment Manager Research (IMR) team is the TD Bank Financial Group's center of excellence and subject matter experts on all managed investment research. IMR is responsible and accountable for maintaining and enhancing all managed investment products on the Dealer self that are available for sale within TD Wealth, along with curating and overseeing Preferred List strategies across all managed investment container types.

- Aptitude to communicate and confidently interact with internal and external parties.
- Passion for the markets.
- Awareness of Canadian mutual funds, exchange traded funds, or separately managed accounts.
- Gather and share relevant industry information and developments, and provide fact‑based opinions and recommendations.
- Assist with IMR’s due diligence, including active participation and documentation of investment manager due diligence reviews, preparing research materials, and assisting in the analysis and evaluation of investment managers and mandates across TD Wealth’s business lines.
- Complete due diligence research reports and meeting minutes, ensuring that research materials are fulsome, up‑to‑date, and easily accessible.
- Develop an in‑depth knowledge of existing tools that support the team’s investment manager research function and assist in the development of new research tools/reports.
- Develop an in‑depth knowledge of asset managers and their strategies.
- Assist in the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of IMR websites, internal databases, and Preferred List materials.
- Prepare and execute the team’s reporting accountabilities and collaborate on various ad‑hoc projects.
- Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism when dealing with internal and external business partners.
- Organize, prepare, and effectively execute periodic investment manager interviews.
- Contribute to investment analysis presentations and dashboards/scorecards.
- Stay current with industry events and participate in related company initiatives.
- Track new developments and noteworthy market news, especially on approved firms and products.
- Assist in the development of new tools and reports, and in the preparation of updates and timely research on market and industry events.
- Minimum 1–5 years of progressive experience in the financial services industry.
- University degree in a related discipline.
- Completed level 1 of the CFA program and registered for the level 2 CFA exam.
- Intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, eagerness to learn, and strong attention to detail.
- Passion for the capital markets, mutual funds, separately managed accounts, ETFs, and/or alternative investments.
- Collaborative and adaptive in a work environment that is both independent and team based, capable of executing across a wide spectrum of accountabilities.
- Software aptitude and literacy, capable of using technology to obtain and efficiently analyze information.
- Working knowledge of manager research software (Morningstar Direct, FactSet, eVestment, or Bloomberg) is a plus.
- Effective oral and written communication skills;
experience with writing/editing publications is an asset. - Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
