Working within Nuclear Operations and IT Services, you’ll contribute to EDF’s journey towards An Electric Britain by delivering scalable, user‑centred data platforms that enhance operational performance, predictive capability, and long‑term sustainability. You’ll collaborate across engineering, operations, maintenance, and compliance, enabling smarter, data‑driven decision‑making in a critical national environment. This is a primarily remote role, with occasional in‑person sessions at our Gloucester Business Park office.
What You’ll Be Doing Designing, building, and maintaining analytics solutions that deliver operational and strategic insight Developing data models, pipelines, and transformations to support reporting and advanced analytics Collaborating with engineering, operations, and business teams to understand and translate data needs Ensuring data quality, governance, security, and ethical AI standards are consistently met Supporting predictive analytics and performance optimisation initiatives Who You Are We’re looking for an Analytics & Data Engineer who thrives in complex, regulated environments and is passionate about delivering high‑quality, scalable data solutions. Developing and deploying end‑to‑end data pipelines and analytical data models across complex environments Writing and optimising code using SQL, Python and/or R, with experience in cloud‑based ML platforms such as Azure ML or Databricks Integrating multiple data sources into governed, reliable platforms with strong data quality, lineage, and documentation practices Translating business requirements into scalable analytics solutions, including reporting and semantic layers Operating and improving data platforms through monitoring, automation, and sound software engineering practices Applying data governance, model validation, and ethical AI principles in real‑world scenarios Working effectively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex, cross‑functional projects Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (postgraduate qualifications preferred) To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Clearance (SC). This normally requires you to have British residency for the last five years.
Pay, Benefits and Culture We are offering a starting salary between £47,513 and £84,595, with terms and conditions covered by the EDF Nuclear Generation Company Agreement. The starting salary for the appointment will be dependent on your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.
