Application Engineer

We are seeking an experience Application Engineer to support global Advanced Planning System (APS) used by a major automotive manufacturing organization. The role focuses on analyzing application behavior, reading and understanding code, identifying root causes of system issues, and proposing effective solutions and improvements. This position works closely with global business users, IT teams, and local ERP systems to ensure stable efficient, and scalable planning operations across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities: - Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within the Advanced Planning System (APS) - Read, understand, and debug application code to identify root causes of functional and perfomance issues - Support integrations between the global APS platform and local ERP systems - Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis and propose corrective and preventive solutions Skill and Qualifications Required:- Strong experience as an Application Engineer, Application Support Engineeer or similar role - Ability to read, understand, and analyze code (e.g. Java, Python, C#, SQL or similar) - Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills - Ability to communicate technical issues and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Experience in the automotive or manufacturing indutsry (plus) - Knowledge of supply chain planning, production planning or demands planning systems
