About the Role

Rohaan Constructions Private Limited is looking for a qualified and creative Architect to lead the design and execution of residential and commercial construction projects. The Architect will be responsible for concept development, working drawings, statutory approvals, and design coordination from initial brief to project handover.

Important Note: This is a core Architect role, NOT a BIM Developer / BIM Modeller position. Candidates whose experience is limited to BIM development alone need not apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts, layouts, elevations, and detailed working drawings for residential and commercial projects.

• Prepare presentation drawings, 3D views, and design proposals for client approvals.

• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and interior consultants to ensure integrated and error-free designs.

• Prepare and manage drawings for statutory approvals (CMDA / DTCP / local body) and liaise for plan sanctions.

• Conduct site visits to review execution, resolve design issues, and ensure work matches approved drawings.

• Select materials, finishes, and specifications in line with project budget and quality standards.

• Ensure compliance with the National Building Code, local building bye-laws, and fire & safety norms.

• Review contractor and vendor drawings; issue clarifications and revisions in a timely manner.

• Maintain proper documentation of drawings, revisions, and approvals for each project.

• Support marketing and management with design inputs for brochures and client presentations when required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• B.Arch from a recognized institution; Council of Architecture (COA) registration preferred.

• 1 - 3 years of experience in architectural design and execution, preferably with a construction / real estate company.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering tools (Lumion / V-Ray / Photoshop). Working knowledge of Revit is a plus, but this is not a BIM Developer role.

• Strong knowledge of building codes, CMDA/DTCP approval processes, and construction detailing.

• Ability to handle multiple projects independently and deliver within timelines.

• Good communication skills in English and Tamil; strong client-handling ability.
