Team members collaborate closely with clients and consultants to achieve well-resolved, context-sensitive designs.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Architectural Designer role based in Chennai. The Architectural Designer will contribute to design development from early concept sketches to detailed construction drawings, ensuring that design intent and functionality are carried through each phase.
Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing plans, sections, elevations, and details; assisting with 3D models and visualizations; and supporting coordination with structural, MEP, and other consultants. The role involves participating in design reviews, supporting urban and site planning studies, and helping to prepare presentations and documentation for client meetings and approvals. The Architectural Designer will collaborate with senior architects and project managers, assist with material and product research, and help monitor design consistency with sustainability goals and local regulations.Qualifications Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to translate concepts into coherent spatial solutions.Proficiency in preparing Construction Drawings and technical details, with careful attention to accuracy and buildability.Solid Drawing skills, including hand sketching and digital drafting, to communicate ideas clearly at different stages of design.Understanding of Urban Planning principles, site planning, and contextual design considerations.Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar), and presentation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or an equivalent professional qualification; enrollment in or completion of licensure requirements is an advantage.Ability to work collaboratively in a studio environment, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks and deadlines.Strong visual and verbal communication skills, with an interest in sustainable design, detailing, and construction processes.
