Art Teacher – Southampton Full-Time | September 2026 Start Engage Education is working with a creative and inclusive secondary school in Southampton to recruit an enthusiastic Art Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive department and inspire students to develop their creativity, confidence, and artistic skills. The successful candidate will be passionate about art education and committed to delivering engaging lessons that encourage students to explore a range of artistic techniques, materials, and creative processes.
About the role: Teaching Art across Key Stages 3 and 4 Planning and delivering creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student progress Encouraging students to develop their artistic skills and confidence Supporting students in producing high‑quality practical and coursework portfolios Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment Contributing to displays, exhibitions, and wider enrichment opportunities Working collaboratively with colleagues within the department About you: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience teaching Art within a secondary school setting Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for creative education Excellent classroom management skills Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities Strong communication and organisational skills Commitment to supporting students both academically and creatively ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply Why choose Engage Education?
