Job Description
Role Overview The role of Assistant Headteacher requires working with the Headship Team and the Senior Leadership Team to lead a Phase group and manage a specific area of whole‑school responsibility/Ofsted area. Key Responsibilities Lead a Phase group as part of the Senior Leadership Team. Take responsibility for a specific area of whole‑school responsibility or Ofsted area.
Lead and manage curriculum planning, implementation, assessment and recording. Influence quality of teaching and learning and support the development of effective classroom practice. Maintain a high standard of leadership and create an engaging learning environment.
Collaborate with stakeholders to raise the quality of learning and teaching. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and safeguarding policy. Required Qualifications & Experience Relevant degree and QTS.
Proven, highly successful teaching experience. Leadership experience, including curriculum planning and assessment. Knowledge of legislation and guidance for working with and protecting children and young people.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to inspire, lead and motivate staff and pupils. Capacity to maintain confidentiality and commitment to personal and professional development. Evidence of relational leadership and first‑class teaching and learning provision.
