Job TitleAssistant Professor - MCA (Master of Computer Applications) Role SummaryThe Assistant Professor will be responsible for delivering postgraduate-level instruction in Computer Applications, guiding students in research and projects, contributing to curriculum development, and engaging in scholarly activities to enhance the academic reputation of the institution. Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic DutiesDeliver lectures, tutorials, and lab sessions in MCA subjects (Programming, Data Structures, Software Engineering, Databases, AI/ML, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, etc.).Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments.Mentor students in academic projects, internships, and dissertations.Research & ScholarshipConduct independent and collaborative research in computer science and applications.Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.Seek research funding and contribute to institutional research goals.Departmental & Institutional ServiceParticipate in faculty meetings, committees, and accreditation processes.Contribute to curriculum design and industry collaborations.Support student activities, workshops, and seminars. QualificationsMandatory Education: MCA (Master of Computer Applications) with First Class or equivalent.Preferred Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.Eligibility Tests: NET/SLET/KSET (mandatory if Ph.D. awarded after 2009 as per UGC norms).Experience: Minimum 4 years of full-time teaching/research experience post-Master's degree.
