Assistant Professor - MTech(CSE/Data Science/AIML)

Reports To: Head of Department (HOD) / Dean of Engineering

Job Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

To deliver high-quality instruction to undergraduate (B.Tech) and postgraduate (M.Tech) students, conduct impactful research, mentor students, and contribute to the administrative growth of the department.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching and Learning (Pedagogy)

• Prepare and deliver lectures, laboratory sessions, and tutorials based on the university curriculum.
• Design and update course syllabi, lesson plans, and teaching materials to include the latest industry trends (e.g., AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing).
• Develop innovative, hands-on learning strategies, including coding bootcamps, project-based learning, and case studies.
• Evaluate student performance through assignments, quizzes, mid-term examinations, and final project assessments.

2. Research and Development (R&D)

• Conduct original research in core or applied computer science fields.
• Publish research papers in high-impact, peer-reviewed international journals (e.g., SCOPUS, SCI, IEEE, UGC-Care listed).
• Draft and submit research proposals to external government and private funding agencies (e.g., DST, ISRO, DRDO, AICTE).
• Guide undergraduate and postgraduate students in their capstone projects, theses, and technical publications.

3. Academic Administration & Service

• Perform departmental duties including student admissions assistance, exam invigilation, evaluation, and curriculum design.
• Act as a faculty mentor/academic advisor, guiding a dedicated batch of students on academic, career, and personal development.
• Participate in departmental and institutional committees (e.g., NBA/NAAC accreditation documentation, cultural/technical fests).
• Organize and coordinate workshops, guest lectures, seminars, and faculty development programs (FDPs).

4. Industry Connect & Institutional Placement

• Help bridge the gap between academia and industry by organizing industrial visits and internship opportunities.
• Assist the training and placement cell in preparing students for technical interviews and coding rounds.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Education:
• B.E. / B.Tech. and M.E. / M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering (or an allied branch) with First Class or equivalent in either degree.
• Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering or a closely related specialization is highly preferred (and mandatory for premium institutions/universities).
• Experience:
• 0 to 5 years of teaching, research, or relevant industry experience (Freshers with a strong academic or research background are welcome).
• Technical Skill Requirements (At least 2–3 domains):
• Proficiency in programming languages: Python, Java, C++, R, or Full-Stack Web Development.
• Strong foundations in core CS subjects: Data Structures & Algorithms, DBMS, Operating Systems, Computer Networks.
• Specialization knowledge in emerging technologies is a plus: Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing (AWS/GCP/Azure)
