Assistant Professor- Product Design

Teaching & Academic DeliveryTeach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Product Design and related disciplines.Conduct studio-based learning, workshops, critiques, and project reviews.Develop course plans, assignments, assessments, and learning materials.Mentor students in academic, industry-sponsored, and capstone projects.Integrate emerging technologies, sustainability, and human-centered design approaches into teaching.Research & InnovationEngage in research, publications, patents, or funded projects in design and innovation.Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration and experimental design practices.Support incubation, entrepreneurship, and innovation initiatives within the institution.Industry EngagementBuild collaborations with industry partners, design studios, and manufacturing sectors.Facilitate internships, live projects, workshops, and guest lectures.Stay updated with current trends in product design, UX, fabrication technologies, and market practices.Academic AdministrationParticipate in curriculum development and accreditation activities.Contribute to departmental events, exhibitions, juries, and institutional committees.Support admissions, outreach activities, and student development initiatives.Preferred QualificationsM. Design in Product Design/Industrial Design.Prior teaching experience in a reputed design institution.Industry experience in product development, industrial design, furniture design, consumer products, or innovation consulting carries an extra advantage
