Kingston College of Science, a constituent unit of Kingston Educational Institute (KEI) and affiliated to West Bengal State University (WBSU), is seeking a qualified and research-oriented Assistant Professor & Research Guide - Food & Nutrition to teach undergraduate students and guide them in academic research activities. The candidate will be responsible for delivering quality education, mentoring students, guiding final-year undergraduate research projects as per NEP guidelines, and contributing to academic and departmental development.Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic Responsibilities:Deliver lectures and practical classes in Food & Nutrition subjects as per the prescribed curriculumPrepare lesson plans, study materials, assignments, and assessmentsConduct practical sessions and evaluate student performanceMaintain academic records and complete syllabus within scheduled timelinesResearch Guidance & Student Mentoring:Act as UG Research Guide for final-year students as per NEP guidelinesGuide undergraduate students in research projects, dissertations, and presentationsSupport students in literature review, research methodology, data collection, analysis, and report preparationEncourage students to participate in seminars, conferences, and research activitiesMentor students for academic and career developmentResearch & Academic Development:Conduct and contribute to research work and academic publicationsParticipate in conferences, workshops, FDPs, and institutional development activitiesSupport curriculum enrichment and academic planning initiativesPromote innovation and interdisciplinary learning opportunitiesDepartmental & Administrative Responsibilities:Participate in departmental meetings and academic activitiesSupport admissions, student counseling, and institutional initiativesMaintain departmental documentation and recordsAssist in organizing seminars, workshops, and awareness programsMandatory Requirements:M.Sc. in Food & Nutrition / Nutrition & Dietetics (Mandatory)Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (Mandatory)Teaching experience in a recognized institution (Mandatory)Strong research orientation and academic writing skillsPreferred:Experience in guiding undergraduate research projectsResearch publications in peer-reviewed journals will be an added advantageStrong communication and student mentoring abilitiesKey Skills:Strong subject knowledge in Food & NutritionResearch methodology and project guidance skillsGood communication and presentation skillsStudent mentoring and academic coordination abilitiesProficiency in MS Office and academic/research to
