Job Description
Position Title: Associate IT Analyst (Stores Platform Services)
The Stores Platform Services team supports the hardware, software, and platforms that enable seamless store operations worldwide. In this role, you will assist with the administration, deployment, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of store technology solutions, including POS systems, payment devices, mobile devices, printers, and related peripherals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with administering and supporting store hardware and software solutions, including POS systems, peripherals, and mobile devices. Ensure that the technology meets the needs of the stores and aligns with business requirements.
- Monitor and help manage escalated store technology incidents from Service Desk Support, Engineering, Development, and Networking teams, escalating complex issues as needed.
Support and maintain core retail technology platforms including:
- Point of Sale (POS) registers
- Payment processing devices
- Store printers and print management solutions
- Mobile handheld devices and tablets
- Perform troubleshooting and support root cause analysis and resolution for hardware and software issues impacting store operations.
- Maintain the QA lab environment by configuring, staging, and validating POS hardware, payment devices, printers, handhelds, tablets, and related peripherals for testing activities.
- Document known issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolution procedures to improve operational efficiency and knowledge sharing.
- Assist with configuration, deployment, device support, and troubleshooting for Linux-based POS systems, Android-based mobile devices, printers, and related peripherals.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external business partners to understand and troubleshoot technology issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and suppliers to support resolution of technical challenges and help maintain efficient operations.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal A&F partners, collaborating with cross-functional support teams as needed.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support global store technology. Respond to critical incidents, assist with troubleshooting, and help implement resolutions outside regular working hours when necessary.
- Provide technical assistance for store technology projects. Collaborate with project teams to gather requirements, support feasibility assessments, and contribute to the implementation of technology initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in an IT-related field or equivalent work history.
- 3 years of experience in an IT-related field, preferably in a store technology or retail environment.
- Familiarity with or experience supporting Linux operating systems and Android devices, including handhelds and tablets in a production environment.
- Operating systems, supporting payment devices, mobile device management, Windows, IOS, Android.
- Ability to think critically and react effectively in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent personal time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency, analytical skills, and a strong customer service orientation.
- Knowledge and experience with IT security best practices, particularly in relation to PCI compliance, is a plus.
