Position Summary
The Associate Director of Admissions is responsible to educate incoming freshman, transfers, parents and counselors about Le Moyne College and the overall college admission process and manage all aspects of college admission including recruitment, counseling, academic advising and evaluation of prospective students and applicants.
The Associate Director oversees the Campus Visit Coordinator, ensuring the seamless planning and execution of campus visits and enrollment events. Because the Coordinator directly manages the Student Ambassadors and Tour Guides, the Associate Director will also provide active support and leadership for these ambassador‑led activities.
This position is based at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY with a main recruitment assignment of International Students and requires travel for student recruitment.
Principal Duties and Essential Functions
- Collaborate with professional admission team to design, develop and implement successful marketing and recruitment strategies and plans.
- Spearhead primary, secondary and tertiary geographic territories conducting extensive travel to build pipelines, lead recruitment events and expand institutional reach.
- Counsel, advise and interview prospective first‑year and transfer students to guide them through the enrollment lifecycle.
- Lead the evaluation of prospective student application materials and provide recommendations on admission decisions.
- Strategize and deploy targeted telemarketing and outreach activities to prospective students and applicants designed to drive yield and conversion rates.
- Director and oversee the execution of on‑campus events working in partnership with the Director of First Year Admission.
- Develop and host on‑campus programs tailored to specific student demographics to enhance enrollment yield and diversity.
- Advance Le Moyne College’s mission of inclusive excellence by providing culturally sensitive guidance to diverse students, parents and counselors.
- Responsible for specific program responsibilities as assigned by Director (e.g., travel coordination, tour guides, etc.).
- Build, expand, and maintain an internal recruitment database.
- Travel and Recruitment:
- Visit high schools, junior colleges and multicultural agencies to educate students and counselors about Le Moyne College to build relationships and expand College visibility.
- Conduct off campus interviews during recruiting trips.
- Engage with local alumni during travel to strengthen relationships and support local enrollment initiatives.
- Represent Le Moyne College at organized off campus recruiting programs including college nights, national and regional colleges, fairs and mini days.
- Plan, schedule, and present at Student Information Sessions in targeted geographic areas (off‑campus receptions).
- Plan, schedule, and present at off campus guidance counselor breakfasts, dinners and association meetings.
- Participate in panel presentations at secondary schools when invitations are extended to us.
- Evaluates international educational credentials, to include transcripts and English language proficiency for undergraduate applicants to the University.
- Plan and implement recruitment activities to generate international applications.
- Research international recruiting trends to inform strategy and ensure effective regional coverage.
- Pursue continuous professional development through engaging in in‑service training and other professional and educational opportunities.
Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. from an accredited four‑year College or University and 5 years of experience required.
- 1 year of prior experience must be in international student recruitment.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and time management.
- Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours during various time periods including evenings and weekends.
- High level of initiative and imagination.

Pay Range
$62,500 - $67,500 annually
