Associate Director Data Scientist

Associate Director Data Scientist – Audit & Assurance, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Python, Stakeholder engagement, Project Delivery – Financial Services – Permanent offering up to £130,000 Base + Bonus My client, a leading Financial Services Consultancy, is looking for an experienced Associate Director Data Scientist to join their Audit & Assurance team in London. You will play a key role in helping clients unlock value from AI and data while managing risk and driving innovation. You will support the growth and leadership of a team of 25 AI specialists while building strong relationships and influencing key stakeholders across the UK AI ecosystem.

The role will involve leading market activation and business development activities for the AI assurance proposition, alongside driving the development of AI assurance methodologies and technical playbooks. You will lead the development, deployment, and assurance of AI solutions across the Audit & Assurance practice, collaborating with teams across the UK and globally on innovative AI and analytics initiatives. As part of a rapidly growing AI Lab, you will also play a key role in shaping strategy and contributing to the ambition of scaling the business to £10m over the next five years.

To Be Successful Experience leading Large Teams (20+), within a highly regulated Environment Experience developing and executing business strategy. Proven ability to influence C-suite and Board-level stakeholders. Experience developing AI and ML thought leadership.

Strong expertise in AI and machine learning modelling techniques. Experience validating AI, GenAI, and ideally Agentic AI solutions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.

Experience mentoring junior data scientists and analysts.
