Our client is a highly respected, independent engineering consultancy based in Norwich with an ambitious vision to redefine the way modern construction projects are designed and delivered. Their Directors are recognised for their technical excellence and practical approach, creating innovative engineering solutions that are technically robust, commercially viable, and practically deliverable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Civil Engineering team and act as a key member of the leadership team; mentor and develop engineers, drive technical excellence, and contribute to growth and success of the business.
• Take ownership of a diverse portfolio of projects across sectors including commercial, healthcare, residential and mixed-use developments; provide strategic direction from concept through delivery.
• Manage client relationships and oversee project delivery.
• Support the development of junior and mid-level engineers and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering with significant consultancy experience; ideally at Principal or Associate level, with ambition to step into broader leadership.
• Strong background in flood risk assessments, detailed drainage and SuDS design, earthworks, Section 278 works, Section 106 applications and build-over agreements.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D.
• Excellent communicator with ability to build lasting client relationships, inspire colleagues, and lead by example.
