Associate Manager, Regional Accounting & Controllership
The Associate Manager will join the team to support the overall LATAM organization, providing controllership and business supervision and support, performing P&L and Balance Sheet analysis, ensuring financial statements are accurate, preparing reports and recommendations to Local and Corporate Management for all the business cross LTAM in a multicurrency environment.
Responsibilities
- Act as controllership process leader and supervise vendor services to meet and exceed organizational goals.
- Coordinate, supervise and perform closing ensuring figures are accurate and in compliance with Accounting Policies (US GAAP, IFRS, other Local GAAPs).
- Perform key analysis for accounting treatment for any new business or non-recurring activity or new process.
- Lead complex projects that require decision‑making skills and self‑initiative.
- Perform Balance Sheet & P&L review and variance analyses by business to corporate management and by legal entity to minimize fiscal risks; propose Intercompany modifications to achieve that objective (Transfer Pricing).
- Ensure all statutory controllership requirements are fulfilled timely across LATAM region and statutory audits are performed.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, Tax and other business teams to support the needs of the business.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement them to obtain efficiencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fields.
- +2 years of experience in Accounting or Accounting Audit in supervisory roles.
- Preferred industries: Entertainment, Technology, Consumer Products.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and negotiation skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
- Organized, versatile, flexible, self‑motivated, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office; Power BI and SAP are a plus.
- Advanced level of English.
