Role Description

The Audit Manager/Director is a full-time, on‑site role based in Shelton, CT, responsible for leading audit engagements and overseeing the firm’s Audit and accounting practice and its commitment to quality.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities include planning and managing audit engagements, reviewing workpapers and financial statements, and ensuring compliance with professional standards. The role involves supervising, mentoring, and training audit staff, providing clear guidance on technical issues, and supporting professional development. The Audit Manager/Director will work closely with clients and assist in expanding the firm’s audit and accounting practice to serve the community it has been an integral part of for over 90 years.

Qualifications

• CPA with significant Audit and Accounting experience of various industries including not‑for‑profit engagements with single audit requirements.
• Candidates should possess strong accounting knowledge with the ability to research technical issues and apply relevant standards and regulations.
• Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to build effective existing client relationships and to develop new business relations to further expand the practice.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to professional standards and quality control.
• An individual with the aspirations to become a partner and continue to grow the Firm.

Compensation

Range is commensurate with the candidate’s level of experience.
