Bilingual Software Engineer (Tokyo)

Position Overview

We are looking to hire a Bilingual Software Engineer to support development initiatives in Tokyo. The ideal candidate will be technically strong and able to operate effectively in a Japanese-English bilingual environment, working with both local and global stakeholders.

This role can be tailored across different seniority levels and technical stacks depending on project needs.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain software applications aligned with business requirements

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and global engineering teams

Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and code reviews

Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability of applications

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the development lifecycle

Communicate effectively with stakeholders in both Japanese and English

Contribute to agile development processes and continuous improvement initiatives

Core Requirements

Professional experience in software development (typically 2+ years depending on seniority)

Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, Go)

Experience with modern development frameworks and tools

Business-level Japanese (JLPT N2-N1 or equivalent) and English proficiency

Experience working in a team-based development environment (Agile preferred)

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment
