Breast Imaging Clinical Service Manager – Band 8B

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Radiographer with significant leadership and management experience to join Barts Health NHS Trust as Breast Imaging Clinical Service Manager.

The post-holder will lead the Breast Imaging service across three sites, providing strategic direction, operational management and visible leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and patient-centred services.

This role is suitable for an experienced Radiographer looking to lead a complex, multi-site service. While experience in Breast Imaging is desirable, strong management and leadership capability is essential.

Interviews will be held on 15th May 2026.

The post-holder will be responsible for the strategic, operational and governance leadership of Breast Imaging services across the Barts Health network.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading service delivery across symptomatic and screening pathways
• Managing performance, quality, governance and compliance
• Providing leadership to multidisciplinary teams, including mammographers, radiologists and imaging assistants.
• Overseeing workforce planning, staff development and education
• Driving service improvement, transformation and modernisation
• Working collaboratively with senior stakeholders including the Head of Diagnostics, Clinical Lead and General Manager
• Representing the service at Trust, divisional and external meetings
