Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: BSTEX Instructor / Response Cell SpecialistLocations: Camp Pendleton, CAClearance Required:SecretEmployment Type:Full-TimeAbout the RoleThe JAAW Group LLC is seeking BSTEX Instructors and Response Cell Specialists to plan, execute, and support Battle Staff Training Exercises (BSTEXs) across all MISTC locations. This position requires deep operational credibility and the ability to replicate adversary and higher headquarters actions in dynamic, multi-domain training environments.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze operational orders, annexes, and warfighting function requirements to develop MESLs and BSTEX training packagesPlan and execute BSTEX events per the TEEP, producing LOIs, schedules, and C2 architecture diagramsMan Response Cells replicating higher headquarters, adjacent units, and OPFOR functions during exercisesConduct ROC drills, Combined Arms Rehearsals (CARs), and OpOrder briefsDeliver Watch-stander, Watch Officer, and Watch Chief training during BSTEX eventsDevelop and maintain the Performance Evaluation Checklist (PECL) and deliver formal performance briefs to studentsRecord, analyze, and deliver written and oral AARs following each BSTEX eventRecommend changes to FMF and Reserve Combat SOPs based on lessons learnedIntegrate scenario complexity across fires, intelligence, logistics, maneuver, and C2 functionsFeed lessons learned and student critiques into MISTC Curriculum Review BoardsRequired Qualifications8+ years of combat operations experienceActive Secret clearanceMCISD/SAT-E certificationBSTEX facilitation experienceWatch Officer/Watch Chief familiarizationExpertise in scenario development and performance evaluationBachelor's degree preferred in Military Operations, National Security, or a related field Preferred QualificationsExperience with JADOCS, AFATDS, GCCS, C2PC/JTCW, JBC-P/MMC-S, or WinTAK/ATAKPrior BSTEX or MISTC exercise support experienceOCONUS exercise support experience
