Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a leading financial services organisation on a 6-month rolling contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering initiatives for a critical financial reporting and control application within a global banking and investment markets environment.

This role requires a strong understanding of investment banking products, financial accounting principles, and standard financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable taking a hands‑on approach to delivery activities and supporting the resolution of complex issues where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities for a key financial reporting and control application.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business, finance, operations, and technology teams.
• Gather, document, and validate business requirements and functional specifications.
• Support project delivery across the full project lifecycle.
• Provide guidance and support to other Business Analysts within the wider team.
• Contribute to problem‑solving activities and assist with issue resolution.
• Work with development and support teams to investigate and resolve complex production issues.
• Ensure solutions meet financial reporting and control requirements.

Required Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within global banking and investment markets.
• Strong understanding of investment banking products and related business processes.
• Solid knowledge of financial accounting principles and standard financial reporting.
• Experience working across the full project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, delivery, testing, and implementation.
• Ability to work independently and take a proactive, hands‑on approach to issue resolution.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience supporting financial reporting or control platforms.
• Exposure to regulatory or management reporting environments.
• Previous experience working with development and support teams in a production environment.
