Role Description
The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Adelaide, SA. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within key signage and graphics market segments, as well as expanding business with existing customers. Day‑to‑day activities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting customer meetings and presentations, preparing proposals and quotations, and negotiating contracts in line with company guidelines.
The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to implement growth strategies, support product launches, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention. Regular reporting on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity, along with participation in industry events and trade shows, are also core aspects of the role.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within signage, graphics, or related manufacturing sectors.
- Strong relationship‑building and customer‑facing skills, including the ability to manage key accounts and develop long‑term partnerships.
- Proficiency in identifying market opportunities, developing sales strategies, and executing plans to achieve growth targets.
- Solid communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at different organizational levels.
- Comfort with using CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications to manage pipelines and track performance.
- Proactive, self‑motivated approach with strong organizational and time‑management abilities to handle multiple opportunities concurrently.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region for customer visits, events, and meetings as required.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related field is advantageous; industry experience or technical knowledge of signage and graphics materials is a plus.
