CERTIFED NURSE ANESTHETIST SITE OF SERVICE: Evans Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson, 1650 Cochrane Cir, CO 80913 POSITION OVERVIEW The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) supporting Evans Army Community Hospital provides high-quality care to military beneficiaries in a mission-focused military treatment facility environment. This role supports the health and readiness of active-duty service members, families, and other eligible beneficiaries through direct patient care, clinical coordination, and accurate documentation in the electronic health record. POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS: Education: Master's degree in nursing.
Accreditation: Graduate from an academic program, approved by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs (COA). Certification: Certified as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) or the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Cardiac Certifications : Must have the following hands-on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross: Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Experience: Must have a minimum of 24 months in the last 36 months of documented current clinical independent experience and competency.
Must have the level of experience and documented current clinical competency to be awarded "Regular" privileges to work independently. Additional experience requirements: Have at least 12 months within the last 24 months providing epidural analgesia (labor epidurals).
