Position Overview

Weekend Anesthesia Hero – Weekend Anesthetist (CRNA or CAA) at Saint Louis University Hospital.

Full‑time, 12‑hour shifts with no on‑call. Consistent scheduling with on‑time departures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑operative evaluations, monitor vitals, and prepare for anesthesia induction.
• Administer anesthesia under an anesthesiologist’s direction and ensure life‑support functions during procedures, including induction and intubation.
• Manage pre‑ and post‑anesthesia care, respond to abnormal patient reactions, and provide emergency interventions such as intubation and resuscitation when needed.
• Maintain detailed records, communicate patient status, adhere to infection control protocols, and ensure proper equipment function.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher with advanced certifications.
• Nationally accredited CRNA or CAA program completion.
• BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications.
• Ability to obtain Missouri licensure.
• Preference for 1+ year of anesthesia experience.
