We are seeking an experienced and passionate Online Chess Coach to work with students based in the United States (Eastern Time Zone – EST). This role is ideal for coaches who are comfortable teaching during early morning IST hours and have a strong ability to train, engage, and develop students in chess.

Working Hours (Mandatory):

US EST Time Zone Coverage

Availability required: 1:00 AM – 5:00 AM IST

Consistent weekday/weekend availability preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver live, interactive 1:1 or small group chess classes

Teach fundamentals, strategies, openings, middle-game tactics, and endgames

Analyze student games and provide constructive feedback

Engage learners through puzzles, practice games, and structured lesson plans

Track and report student progress and improvement areas

Adapt coaching style based on student level (beginner to advanced)

Maintain professional communication with students and parents in the US

Use online tools effectively (Chess.com, Lichess, Zoom, Google Meet, etc.)

Required Qualifications:

3–5+ years of chess coaching experience (online preferred)

Experience teaching US-based students is highly preferred

Strong English communication skills (spoken and written)

Solid understanding of chess principles, tactics, and game strategies

Ability to simplify concepts and build strong fundamentals

Must be comfortable and reliable during 1–5 AM IST working hours

Stable internet connection and a professional teaching setup

Preferred Skills:

FIDE rating or recognized chess certification is a plus

Experience in 1:1 personalized coaching

Strong engagement and student retention skills

Familiarity with online chess platforms and analysis tools

High ownership, punctuality, and consistency
