ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
\nThis role will be based in Bhubaneswar at Kalinga Max Healthcare. Max healthcare has acquired stake in Kalinga Hospital. This is a 250 bed NABH Credited facility built on a 10acre land parcel.
\n\n- \n
- Ensure continuous operation of all critical systems (HVAC, electrical, DG sets, UPS, medical gas pipeline systems). \n
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs. \n
- Monitor building management systems (BMS) and energy systems \n
- Maintain operation theaters (OT), ICUs, clean rooms, and isolation wards as per healthcare standards. \n
- Ensure proper functioning of medical gas systems (oxygen, vacuum, compressed air). \n
- Oversee water systems including RO plants, STP, and WT. \n
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards such as: NABH & JCI \n
- Fire safety regulations and local statutory requirements \n
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments. \n
- Ensure infection control measures in engineering operations. \n
- Lead hospital construction, renovation, and expansion projects. \n
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors. \n
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and as per healthcare specifications \n
- Manage engineering team including technicians, supervisors, and contractors. \n
- Conduct training programs for staff on safety and system operations. \n
- Develop SOPs for all engineering functions. \n
- Manage AMC/CMC contracts for equipment and systems. \n
- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure SLA compliance. \n
- Control maintenance budgets and procurement. \n
- Implement energy-saving initiatives. \n
- Monitor utility consumption (electricity, water, gases). \n
- Optimize operational costs without compromising patient care. \n
- Ensure readiness for emergencies like power failure, fire, and equipment breakdown. \n
- Develop disaster management plans and conduct mock drills. \n
- Maintain redundancy for critical systems. \n
- Foster team building and collaboration within the department. \n
- Provide critical input on the specifications and configuration of medical equipment and gas pipeline systems. \n
Years of Experience:
\n- \n
- Over 15 years of professional experience in hospital and hospitality projects, with extensive knowledge in managing and operating diverse medical systems. \n
- Local language preferred (Odia) \n
Qualifications:
\n- \n
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering \n
