Position: Chief Security Officer (CSO)

Location: Mumbai (Marol) - Requires regular Pan-India travel

Grade: Assistant General Manager (AGM) / M3B

Reporting To: Business Head - SSS

About the Role:

Writer Information is looking for a seasoned security professional from the Indian Armed Forces or Paramilitary background to step into the role of Assistant General Manager & Chief Security Officer. This leader will design, deploy, and govern a comprehensive physical security strategy safeguarding critical customer data, national warehouses, records management repositories, and corporate infrastructure across India.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Security Governance: Formulate nationwide physical security strategies, policies, SOPs, and regular risk compliance audits.

2. Asset & Facility Protection: Implement stringent 24/7 security coverage, visitor logs, material movement protocols, and perimeter control across all information asset facilities.

3. Risk & Investigations: Head internal investigations on breaches, asset theft, or fraud, delivering decisive root-cause analyses to senior executives.

4. Security Technology: Direct the operation and lifecycle of integrated systems, including CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Alarms, and Fire & Life Safety tools.

5. Crisis & Continuity: Formulate emergency business continuity plans, coordinate active incident response teams, and organize regular training/mock drills.

6. Statutory Liaison: Drive proactive relationships with local police, civil defense, and fire safety regulators across state lines.

7. Team Leadership: Mentor regional security leads and audit outsourced security agency service level agreements (SLAs).

Candidate Requirements:

- Academic: Graduation in any discipline (Specialized Security/Disaster Management certifications are a plus).

- Military Experience: Mandatory Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) background from the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, or CAPF/Paramilitary forces.

- Professional Experience: Minimum 20 years in total security/administrative operations, with an emphasis on corporate logistics, supply chain, secure storage, or infrastructure hubs.

- Travel: Complete flexibility to travel across multi-state facilities for unexpected audits and standard inspections.
