Civil Design Engineer

Role Summary:

Lead the review and approval of civil and structural design & engineering documents prepared by the EPC contractor, in coordination with the Owner's Engineer (OE), ensuring compliance with contract, codes, safety, constructability, and long-term operability.

Key Responsibilities:

Review EPC civil & structural design documents, drawings, and calculationsEnsure compliance with contract specs, international & local codesReview civil works for:GT, HRSG, ST foundations and buildingsCooling water system, pump houses, tanks, and plant buildings225 kV switchyard foundations, trenches, gantries & control buildings225 kV transmission line tower foundations & access roadsCoordinate civil interfaces with electrical and mechanical systemsParticipate in design reviews with EPC & Owner's EngineerIdentify technical risks (settlement, vibration, drainage, constructability)Review technical queries, deviations, and value engineering proposalsProvide technical support during construction, as required

Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)Chartered Engineer / PE preferred

Experience:15+ years total civil/structural experience8+ years in power plant projects (CCPP / thermal)Proven experience with:GT / ST dynamic foundationsCooling water systems225 kV or higher voltage switchyardsHigh-voltage transmission line foundationsExperience on Owner / OE / PMC side preferred

Skills:RCC & structural steel design reviewGeotechnical and foundation engineeringStrong coordination with EPC & multi-discipline teamsFamiliar with international design codes and grid requirements
