Claims Manager, EPL - Financial Lines

Location

New York (on‑site)

Responsibilities

• Actively manage EPL claims from inception through resolution.
• Evaluate coverage, draft coverage correspondence, assess appropriate reserves, and conduct claims investigations.
• Manage defense counsel and legal spend, assess liability and financial exposure.
• Effectively negotiate cost‑effective, good‑faith claims resolutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctorate preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in the insurance/legal profession with a focus on Financial and/or Professional Lines claims.
• In‑depth understanding of policy language and coverage.
• Experience managing, evaluating, mediating, and negotiating EPL claims.
• Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. federal and state laws applicable to claims under Financial and Professional Lines policies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Compensation

Estimated salary range: $140,000 – $155,000.
