Job Description: As a Psychiatric Nurse Assistant (PNA), you will play a vital role in delivering direct patient care and therapeutic support to clients. Your primary responsibilities will include providing compassionate care, monitoring client health and behaviors, and assisting in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in direct patient care, preferably in a psychiatric setting (not required). Qualifications Required: High School diploma or GED Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience Any of the following licenses/certifications in the state of Texas (TX): Valid American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS) Valid Regular Driver License (DL) Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) Job Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age Must possess a valid Drivers License Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent Ability to pass CPR and TIPS (Trauma Intervention Protection Strategies) certification Preferred experience in direct client care Basic computer skills Duties of Direct Care PNA: Provide direct care to patients, including emergency, health, and personal care Engage in therapeutic interactions with clients to promote their well-being Monitor patients during meals and activities Observe and document patients psychiatric symptoms and health status as required Maintain detailed records of patients behaviors and interactions Perform additional duties as assigned by the Unit Manager and/or Resident Specialist V Other Requirements: COVID-19 testing with negative result required Successful completion of a urine drug screen and background check Successful completion of an FBI fingerprint background check Candidate must be available for 10 consecutive days of training, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM Current Open Shifts: 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM Your compassionate care and commitment to supporting individuals facing psychiatric challenges will make a significant impact on their lives.
