Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing CNC programs for various machining operations, ensuring precision and efficiency. This role requires strong technical skills in CAD/CAM software, blueprint reading, and machine setup, with a focus on high-quality production using CNC milling machines and lathes.

Responsibilities
- Develop and modify CNC programs using ESPRIT CAM software for CNC milling machines and lathes.
- Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and GD&T specifications to ensure accurate machining processes.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including Fanuc controls, ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and calibration.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments like bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part dimensions and quality.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize machining processes based on lean manufacturing principles.
- Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, geometry, or machine performance; perform routine maintenance and adjustments as needed.
- Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, and process improvements to support continuous quality enhancement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in CNC programming with proficiency in ESPRIT CAM software (required).
- Strong knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks or CATIA; experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with CAM programming and understanding of G-code and M-code functions.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, GD&T standards, and precision measurement instruments including micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, and CMMs.
- Mechanical knowledge of tooling, machining processes, and electrical discharge machining (EDM).
- Ability to interpret schematics related to electrical or mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent math skills including geometry and trigonometry relevant to machining operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Mastercam or other CAM software.
- Knowledge of multi-axis machining (3-, 4-, or 5-axis).
- Background in aerospace, automotive, or medical device manufacturing.
- Familiarity with advanced tooling strategies and high-speed machining.
