J. Singer Law Group is seeking an entrepreneurial litigator to join our growing Manhattan practice.

Our firm primarily represents small businesses and individuals in merchant cash advance litigation and related commercial disputes, while actively expanding into adjacent practice areas, including plaintiff's personal injury litigation.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney who wants real responsibility, direct client contact, significant courtroom experience, and a genuine path toward partnership, profit sharing, and helping build a rapidly growing law firm.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in New York (admission to the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, or eligibility for admission, preferred).
• 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in commercial litigation at a mid-sized firm with excellent training / mentorship and experience.
• Strong knowledge of New York State practice and procedure.
• Strong working knowledge of Federal practice and procedure.
• Excellent legal writing, motion practice, and oral advocacy skills.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Ability to supervise and work effectively with paralegals and support staff.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to think creatively, solve problems, and help build new practice areas.

Responsibilities

• Represent small businesses and individuals in merchant cash advance litigation and related commercial disputes.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, court appearances, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Work directly with clients and opposing counsel.
• Supervise paralegals and help develop efficient litigation systems.
• Assist in expanding the firm's litigation practice, including our growing plaintiff's personal injury initiative.

In addition to a competitive salary and bonus, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in legal fee participation as we expand our plaintiff's personal injury practice and other strategic initiatives. The financial upside for the right person is significant.

Compensation: $125,000–$140,000, depending on experience, plus performance bonus, potential future profit-sharing opportunities, and the potential to participate in legal fees generated through our expanding plaintiff's practice.
