Responsibilities
Develop new client relationships through prospecting, networking, referrals, and active involvement in the local communityEducate individuals, families, and business owners on insurance solutions that help them protect what matters mostPresent and sell insurance products, including auto, home, life, business, and related coverage optionsBuild and maintain strong referral partnerships with local businesses, professionals, and community organizationsCreate and execute a business development plan focused on long-term agency growthProvide exceptional ongoing client service to support retention, trust, and long-term relationshipsLearn and apply proven sales, marketing, service, and agency operations systemsRecruit, train, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals as the agency growsSet clear performance expectations and help team members stay accountable to activity, production, and client service standardsFoster a positive, competitive, and professional team culture centered on performance and integrityTrack sales performance, client retention, and overall agency growth opportunitiesRepresent the agency with integrity, professionalism, and trust in all client and community interactionsWork toward long-term agency ownership and leadership within the community
Requirements
Must be willing to obtain required insurance licenses if not already licensedActive Property & Casualty license preferredActive Life & Health license preferredPrior sales experience strongly preferred (insurance, financial services, or related client-facing roles)Insurance experience is helpful, but not required for the right candidateStrong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to earn trust quicklyComfortable with prospecting, networking, and asking for referrals as part of daily activityEntrepreneurial mindset with a genuine interest in building and owning a businessAbility to set goals, manage time effectively, and stay accountable to resultsCoachable and open to training, feedback, and proven sales and agency systemsProfessional, reliable, and trustworthy in all client and community interactionsStrong work ethic with a willingness to build from the ground up and develop a long-term careerLeadership potential with interest in recruiting, developing, and leading a sales team over timeBasic computer skills and familiarity with CRM systems preferredMust be able to pass applicable background checks and licensing requirements
