Job Description
The Consultant of Payment Model Technical Assistance will support technical assistance efforts, working on the development of high‑quality materials that build participant understanding of model requirements and equip them to succeed under value based payment approaches. Working collaboratively with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams across the organization, the Consultant will deliver exceptional client service, produce high quality and timely deliverables, and drive innovation across the market.
Primary Responsibilities
- Engage, develop, and sustain client relationships through policy consultation, strategic guidance, and thought leadership
- Support the development of technical assistance materials that translate model requirements into actionable guidance for participants, including webinars, virtual office hours, written guidance, toolkits, FAQs, and other learning resources
- Ensure consistently high standards of accuracy, quality control, and attention to detail across all deliverables
- Collaborate effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary project team
- Support business development and growth activities, including capture and proposal response
Required Qualifications
- Masters or Ph.D. in health services research, public health, public policy, epidemiology, economics, statistics, or related field with 4+ years of experience in a research, consulting, or business environment OR Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience
- 4+ years of relevant health policy industry experience in healthcare consulting, program implementation, quality improvement, evaluation, and/or policy expertise
- 1+ years of experience working on value‑based care payment initiatives
- Broad understanding of federal health policy issues, with ability to work in multiple areas serving as a subject matter expert
- Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex findings to non‑technical audiences

Salary & Benefits
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and other factors. Compensation for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full‑time employment. Benefits include a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (subject to eligibility requirements).
