Content Specialist

About the Role

We're looking for a Reels Scriptwriter who can turn tutoring, education, and student-success stories into scroll-stopping short-form content. You'll own the scripting process end-to-end — from hook to punchline — with a clear mandate: grow engagement and impressions across our Instagram presence.

What You'll Do

• Write scripts for 15–60 second Reels (hooks, voiceovers, on-screen text, captions)
• Develop hook variations and A/B test opening lines for retention
• Translate tutor stories, student wins, parent testimonials, and study tips into relatable, native-feeling content
• Stay on top of trending audio, formats, and meme templates — and adapt them to an edtech/tutoring context
• Collaborate with the video/design team to ensure scripts translate well visually
• Track performance (watch time, shares, saves, reach) and iterate scripts based on what's working
• Maintain a consistent brand voice while keeping content varied and unformulaic

What We're Looking For

• 1–3 years of experience writing for Instagram Reels, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts
• A portfolio or examples showing measurable engagement results (not just polished writing)
• Strong grasp of hook psychology — why people stop scrolling in the first 3 seconds
• Comfort writing in a casual, conversational tone (no corporate-speak)
• Understanding of Instagram's algorithm behavior — what drives saves/shares vs. just views
• Bonus: interest in education, parenting, or student-life content

Nice to Have

• Basic shot-listing or storyboarding skills
• Experience working with UGC-style or founder-led content
• Familiarity with analytics tools (Instagram Insights, Meta Business Suite)
