Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Enrollment Coordinator for Global & Graduate Education supports recruitment, enrollment, and advising efforts for international students and enrollment for graduate programs. This role serves as a key point of contact for prospective and current students, guiding them through the enrollment process from inquiry through registration. This position primarily supports global education initiatives, including international student recruitment, onboarding, and compliance, while also overseeing enrollment processes for graduate programs.
The coordinator also serves as a Designated School Official (DSO) and assists with academic advising and registration support for global education students.Global Education (Primary Focus)Support recruitment, application review, and enrollment of international students Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective global education students Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and transition support Assist with planning and communication related to global education residenciesGraduate Enrollment Oversee the enrollment process for graduate programsCommunicate with prospective students regarding program details, admissions requirements, and next steps Partner with program directors and faculty to support enrollment goals Attend events as needed to support programsTrack applicant progress and conduct follow-up outreach to improve conversionDesignated School Official (DSO) ResponsibilitiesMaintain the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and ensure compliance with all certification requirements. Oversee SEVIS data processing in accordance with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) guidelines, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality control of all recordsStay current with all regulatory and legislative requirements impacting international students on F-1 visas. Ensure compliance with federal regulations and university policies while providing accurate and timely information to students regarding visa maintenance Monitor, maintain, and track F-1 student visa status and update student records in SEVIS and university systems to ensure compliance and data integrity Advise international students on petitions, applications, and processes related to F 1 visa status, including visa issuance, employment authorization, reinstatement, change of status, medical leave, travel, and reduced course load approvals Provide guidance on related matters including personal, financial, enrollment, health insurance, travel, tax, and scholarship or grant considerations Provide proactive case management for international students experiencing cross cultural, personal, financial, or other challenges that may impact academic success, and connect students with appropriate university and community resources Serve as a liaison with transfer institutions and assist students through the transfer process by coordinating with appropriate university offices and external partnersAdvising and Student SupportAssist with academic advising for global education students Support course registration and schedule planning Guide students through institutional systems such as MyTMU and registration processes Monitor student progress and connect students to appropriate campus resourcesEnrollment OperationsManage communication with students from inquiry through enrollment Utilize CRM systems (Slate) to track engagement and outreach efforts Support reporting and data tracking related to enrollment performance Collaborate with marketing and enrollment teams on outreach strategies Coordinate with external recruitment partners Monday - Friday 8:30-5 PM with occasional Saturdays (3X/year) for EngageMore Weekends
