Vacant position as Country Sales Manager in Canada (St. John’s, Newfoundland)
Sverdrup Steel is expanding in Canada and looking for a driven sales leader to grow our national presence in high‑performance stainless steels and nickel alloys.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead national sales initiatives to strengthen Sverdrup Steel’s position in Canada.
- Build and manage long-term relationships with customers, distributors, and key industry stakeholders.
- Identify emerging market opportunities within energy, offshore, process, and manufacturing sectors.
- Provide technical sales support and collaborate closely with global technical and commercial teams.
- Represent Sverdrup Steel at customer visits, trade shows, and industry events across Canada.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity to inform strategic decisions.
- Ensure accurate forecasting, pipeline development, and reporting.
Qualifications
- Proven success in B2B technical sales—preferably within metals, alloys, engineering materials, or industrial supply sectors.
- Strong understanding of Canadian industrial markets, especially offshore, petrochemical, and energy.
- Self-driven, strategic, and capable of building a region from the ground up.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel across Canada as required.
