The Craft Supervisor will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for operating and maintaining or supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.Job Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and directing multi-discipline craft activities in Aeropropulsion of the Test Operations Directorate.
Job Duties: Work with Engineers, Planners and Schedulers to develop work plans and resource requirements, assign work, track work progress to ensure work stays on schedule and within allocated estimates and ensure work executed is performed by applicable safety, engineering, housekeeping and environmental standards as described in work packages and work instructions, Ensure compliance with AEMTC Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)Responsible for Building Management – ensures work authorization documents are developed and approved to accomplish work activities such as LOTO, work clearances, hold orders, burn permits & Master Work PermitsResponsible for crew training and maintaining qualifications of the workforceResponsible for wage timecard, vacation and leave program administrationResponsible for conflict resolution among employees, counseling/disciplining wage personnel for performance issues and non-conformance of Company Policies and ProceduresResponsible for team safety meetings, monitoring craft housekeeping and safety practices while ensuring the workplace meets AEDC, BHN, & OSHA Standards. Investigates accidents/incidents, completes accident reports and assures proactive steps are taken to prevent similar type accidents/incidents in the futureFocal point for day-to-day coordination of activities within the assigned area. Works closely with Engineers and other Craft Supervisors to obtain work turnover from shift to shift and to establish the correct Craft manpower neededEnsures assigned O&M, Investment work and/or subcontractors’ performance are following specifications, schedules, and budgetsPerforms general functions inherent in all supervisory positionsManages Craft overtime (OT) process and maintains proper OT list differential IAW CBAMay be assigned to any other work location/schedule/shift in support of multi-shift O&M workIt is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy Perform other duties as required
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with 9 years of progress in a related field or 14 years’ commensurate work experience in lieu of degreeMust be willing to work any shift as neededMust demonstrate leadership ability and good communication skillsMust have the necessary people skills and attitude to fully embrace and support the Companies position on safetyMust have the ability to plan, organize, lead, and monitor a wide variety of team efforts to their successful conclusionMust be able to anticipate change and to adjust promptly and effectivelyMust be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and the AEDC local area networkCurrent U. S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications Active Secret clearanceThorough knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, and other project-related activities, including the interfaces and interdependence within the Eng & Tech Support Directorate, is desirable, but not requiredUnderstanding of the AEMTC CBA and Craft jurisdictional lines is desirableDemonstrated skills for motivating, communication & directing Union Craft Employes from various Craft lines
