Critical Care/Trauma Physician Assistant

A Level I Trauma Center near Minneapolis, MN is seeking an experienced Certified Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to provided locum tenens coverage up to a full-time basis, from May through July on the night shift, 7pm-7:30am

-Serve has a Hospitalist in the Trauma Department. Duties include rounding on trauma patients and intermittent ED consults, trauma activations, and procedure work.
-Adults and Adolescents -10-14 patients/day if non ICU, 6 if ICU
-2-15 admits from ED per 24hrs
-Practice autonomously
-Trauma Surgeon on-site 24hrs/day -EPIC EMR -Procedural competence in the following preferred:

• Non-Invasive Vent Management (bipap/cpap)
• Ventilation Management
• Chest Tube Insertion
• Central Line
• Arterial Line
• Suturing Minor Lacerations

Requirements include:
At least one year of experience as an APP in an inpatient setting, preferably in trauma, ICU, or Orthopedics.
-Board Certification ( PA-C, ACNP, AGNP)
-MN License in hand; DEA
-BLS, ACLS, ATLS and PALS required
-Local/Drive-in Candidates Highly Preferred
