Overview
We are excited to invite applications for an enthusiastic and motivated Staff Nurse to join our Community Treatment and Care (CTAC) & Vaccination team at Cowal community hospital. The post holder will play a key role in delivering high-quality nursing care in line with the new GP contract terms, working as part of the extended Primary Care Team with GP practices, community nursing colleagues and Allied Health Professionals to provide excellent, person-centred care to our community.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in line with the new GP contract terms.
- Provide person-centred care to residents, including basic and complex wound care, phlebotomy, ear irrigation, vaccinations, patient observations, and ECGs.
- Collaborate with GP practices, community nursing colleagues and allied health professionals to coordinate care.
- Work independently and as part of a multi-professional team.
- Adapt to changing priorities and manage time effectively.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Demonstrated commitment to outstanding care in a community setting.
- Strong time-management skills, adaptability and passion for holistic patient care.
- Experience in wound care, phlebotomy or vaccinations is desirable; full training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Flexible working requests for part-time or job share will be considered.
Benefits
- Effective from 1 April 2026 the Agenda for Change full-time week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours, with part-time hours adjusted pro-rata. Hourly rates will be increased to ensure pay remains unaffected.
