Cyber Security Engineer

Role: Cyber Security Engineer Shift Time: 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM IST . Location: Hyderabad (Remote). PSC Administrator Competencies • Adaptability—Maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment; adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures. • Communication—clearly conveying information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message. • Managing Work—effectively managing one’s time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently. • Quality Orientation—Accomplishing tasks by considering all areas involved, no matter how small; showing concern for all aspects of the job; accurately checking processes and tasks; being watchful over a period. • Work Standards—setting high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; selfimposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed Essential Responsibilities • Security Tool Implementation: • Deploy and manage security tools, including SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDPS, and WAF. • Ensure security tools are properly configured and maintained. • Security Monitoring and Threat Detection: • Monitor security alerts and events to identify potential threats. • Maintain and tune security monitoring systems to ensure optimal performance. • Incident Response: • Participate in incident response activities, including investigating and analyzing security incidents. • Document and report security incidents, and assist in remediation efforts. • Regulatory Compliance: • Support compliance efforts with HIPAA, HITECH, SOC 2, and other relevant regulations. • Conduct security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. • Vendor and Supply Chain Assessment: • Conduct assessments of vendors and supply chain partners to ensure their security practices meet our standards. • Develop and maintain a vendor risk management program. • Project Coordination: • Coordinate security and compliance projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project requirements and deliverables. • Cloud Security: • Secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) by implementing best practices and security controls. • Monitor and manage cloud security configurations. • Continuous Learning and Development: • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies. • Participate in training and professional development opportunities. Requirements/Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in a technology related field, or 5 years of experience working in cybersecurity and compliance environments. • Azure Virtual certifications is preferred • 5 years of experience with minimum 3 years within cybersecurity or related fields. • Proficient with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, Firewall, IDPS, and WAF. • Knowledge of NIST, SOC 2, and PCI/DSS regulations. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills. • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the team. • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security, CEH, or equivalent • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong work ethic and integrity. • Experience with Azure CLI, PowerShell, Terraform, ARM templates, or other scripting/infrastructure-as-code tools. • Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, etc.). • Knowledge of DevOps concepts, security principles, and best practices. • Experience with networking, databases, and operating systems (Windows, Linux). • PowerShell Scripting Required. • Good communication Skills, the ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical people. The ability to work in a team environment.
