Job Description
Role Overview : We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Analyst to support in a Government of Meghalaya project. The candidate will play a critical role in analyzing financial and taxation data, generating actionable insights, and supporting decision-making for revenue enhancement initiatives. Key Responsibilities : - Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to taxation and revenue. - Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI and other visualization tools. - Work closely with government officials, including Commissioners and officers, to gather requirements and translate them into analytical solutions. - Provide insights and recommendations to support policy decisions and revenue augmentation strategies. - Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across various systems. - Prepare presentations and reports for stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualification : - Proficiency in Python for data analysis (Pandas, NumPy, etc.). - Strong experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI . - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets . - Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics required - Excellent English communication and inter personal skills - Understanding data modeling and analytics concepts. - Basic knowledge of GST and taxation frameworks in India. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to understand business requirements and deliver actionable insights. Additional Requirements/ perks : - This is a client-facing, on-site role requiring physical presence at the Government of Meghalaya office. - Quarterly flyback to home location will be provided. - Accommodation, including lodging and fooding, will be provided at a guest house. - Ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic government environment. Important points : - Notice Period Immediate to 30 days (Max) - Relocation Benefit Yes (In addition the fooding, lodging and quarterly fly back to the home location of the candidate will be taken care of - It's a full-time on-site role (5 days every week) role
