Data Analyst

Job title: Data Quality Analyst

Duration: 8.5-month contract

Role status: Current opening

Principal tasks and responsibilities include:

• Analyze, investigate, and resolve data quality issues across the full data lifecycle (ingestion through to delivery)
• Execute data validation routines, risk assessments, and comparative analysis to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Collaborate with data stewards, product owners, data scientists, and technology teams to identify and implement data quality improvements
• Monitor automated data quality reports and proactively identify areas for investigation and remediation
• Support the development and implementation of processes, tools, and frameworks to enhance data quality and operational efficiency
• Maintain documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing across multiple teams and initiatives
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aligned with data governance and modernization efforts
• Ensure high-quality data outputs through reconciliation, reporting, and validation processes

Qualifications and pre-requisites:

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics) or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, data quality, or data management roles
• Strong technical skills in SQL and experience with tools such as Python, BigQuery, Hadoop, or similar
• Proven experience investigating and resolving complex data issues and improving data quality processes
• Understanding of data lifecycle, data governance, and data management best practices
• Experience working cross-functionally with both business and technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have:

• Experience designing or building analytics or data solutions to solve business problems
• Exposure to financial services or highly regulated data environments
• Experience with data governance tools such as Collibra or similar platforms
• Experience in data architecture, software engineering, or advanced data management practices
