Key Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and prioritize operational workflows across data center technician teams
- Develop and implement strategic operational procedures to optimize performance and reliability
- Mentor and develop technical staff through comprehensive training and professional development
- Manage complex project implementations with cross-functional teams
- Create comprehensive operational reports and documentation
- Maintain the on‑call schedule, coordinating absences and vacations
- Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels
- Host weekly staff meetings
- Write and deliver performance reviews for staff

Your day will be a blend of strategic leadership and hands‑on technical problem‑solving. You'll collaborate with diverse engineering teams, coordinate critical operational tasks, and ensure our data centers run with exceptional efficiency and reliability. From managing technician workflows to implementing operational strategies, every moment will challenge and inspire you to drive technological excellence.
About the Team
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- 4+ years of technical team management experience
- Experience in English‑language communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in networking and troubleshooting
- Experience with system management tools and client/server environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with large‑scale infrastructure
- Advanced technical degree, or Master's degree
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or experience in project management
- Knowledge of data center infrastructure design, operations, or delivery
- Experience with technical writing
