We’re looking for a Data Engineer with strong experience in modern data platforms and cloud environments, to join a strategic transformation project in an international context.
You will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable data architectures, supporting the migration from legacy systems to modern cloud-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and transformation in cloud environments
- Develop and maintain data solutions using GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC) and/or Databricks
- Contribute to the migration of legacy platforms (e.g., SAS, on-prem DBs, traditional ETL) to modern cloud architectures
- Design and promote data engineering standards, frameworks, and best practices
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across pipelines and datasets
- Support the definition and evolution of modern data architectures (Data Lake / Lakehouse / Data Mesh)
Required Skills & Experience
- +5 years of experience in Data Engineering or similar roles
- Experience in cloud computing, preferably GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC) and/or Databricks (GCP or Azure)
- Solid understanding of modern data architectures
- Experience in designing and implementing data pipelines at scale
- Experience in migration projects from legacy systems to cloud platforms
- Strong knowledge of data processing and transformation frameworks
- Fluent in English
Location
Lisbon or Porto – Hybrid (2-3 x/week)
