As a Data Manager Senior within PNC's Data Product organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Denver, CO, Dallas, TX or Philadelphia, PA.
In this data product management role, you will manage the engineering solution and delivery team for streaming and batch data engineering, big‑data and graph database design, and relational, analytical and unstructured data development to create simplified and AI‑ready data products.
Responsibilities
- Leverage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big‑data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) to build robust data architectures.
- Design reusable and AI‑ready data products aligned to the organizational structure of retail‑banking portfolios and associated process families.
- Develop highly interoperable data‑engineering artifacts that span retail‑banking portfolios across complex data types and hybrid platforms.
- Create easily accessible and shareable data analytics work products for retail‑banking portfolios that enable self‑service, citizenship development and agentic digital experience.
- Manage data product delivery for retail‑banking portfolios in a matrixed organization by aligning technology and business teams toward shared goals.
- Manage all aspects of organizational data; establish and maintain policies and procedures for planning, designing, and maintaining an information bank to ensure that data services are delivered in a high‑quality and profitable manner.
- Provide senior leadership, direction, and methodology for analysis, structure, and storage of critical organizational data.
- Oversee the integrity and maintenance of organizational data.
- Monitor and review major organizational activities and goals to ensure important data needs are anticipated and met.
- Review and recommend policies and procedures for collecting and managing organizational data.
Qualifications
- Preferred skills: Analytical Thinking, Competitive Advantages, Data Analytics, Data Designing, Data Mining, Data Science, Machine Learning (ML), Business Intelligence, Data Administration, Data Architecture, Data Governance, Data Warehousing, Information Management, IT Standards, Procedures & Policies, Modeling of Data, Process, Events, Objects, Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s, Ph.D. or relevant certifications desirable.
- Experience: At least 8 years industry experience, 5 years prior management experience. Comparable combination of education, certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
- Leadership expectations: Customer focus, risk management, intentional diversity, values alignment, change enablement, result orientation, empowerment, and talent development.
Compensation
Base Salary: $80,000.00 – $202,150.00. This role is incentive eligible with payment based upon company, business, and/or individual performance.
