Position Overview:
The Deployment Engineer is a customer-facing technical role responsible for the deployment, configuration, and operational support of software solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid customer environments in India. This role works cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure solutions are delivered in a secure, scalable, and production-ready manner, and is fully accountable for the outcomes of its deployments.
This position aligns with Deployment Engineer, Implementation Engineer, or Customer-Facing DevOps Engineer roles commonly found at leading technology companies and emphasizes independent, hands-on execution, automation, and operational excellence. This role is based in India and primarily supports customers across the India and broader APAC region, including law enforcement, government, and forensic/legal organizations; occasional domestic and regional travel is expected.
Professional fluency in English is required to support customers and partners across the region; proficiency in Hindi and/or additional regional languages is an advantage.
Essential Responsibilities:
Install, configure, upgrade, and support Cellebrite solutions (including UFED, Physical Analyzer, Inseyets, Guardian, and Pathfinder) within customer environments, including pre-deployment readiness validation and post-deployment verificationCollaborate with Agile development teams and internal stakeholders to implement robust, secure, and scalable technical solutionsAct as the technical point of contact for customers during deployment and onboarding activitiesSupport customers through acceptance testing following deployment, confirming solutions meet agreed technical and functional requirementsTrain and onboard end users on Cellebrite solutions following deploymentTroubleshoot and resolve issues across application, infrastructure, networking, and cloud platformsImplement and maintain environments using automation, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code best practicesEnsure all deployments adhere to organizational standards, security requirements, and industry best practicesDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including deployment guides, runbooks, installation procedures, and architecture diagramsOwn incident response and root-cause analysis for assigned deployments, and drive continuous improvement initiativesLead system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure optimizations for customer environmentsTravel to customer locations within India (and occasionally within APAC) to carry out onsite deployments, troubleshooting, and customer engagement as requiredTechnical Knowledge & Skills:
Linux/Unix and Windows system administration – a must!Networking fundamentals including DNS, firewalls, VPNs, routing, subnetting, and secure connectivity – a must!Active Directory administration and configuration of hardened/high-security IT systems (e.g., government or law-enforcement environments) – must!Working knowledge of Cellebrite's product suite (UFED, Physical Analyzer, Inseyets, Guardian, Pathfinder) or willingness to become certified – a plus!Cloud platforms including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform – a plus!Programming and scripting languages including Python, SQL, Bash, or PowerShell – a plus!Container technologies such as Docker – a plus!Infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible – a plus!Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experienceMinimum 2 years of experience in Deployment Engineering, DevOps Engineering, or a related technical roleExperience working with cloud-native technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP)System administration experience in Linux/Unix and Windows environments, including Active DirectoryNetworking experience in enterprise or customer-facing environmentsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer-service orientationProcess-driven with strong documentation and organizational skillsAbility to train and onboard end users following deploymentAbility and willingness to travel up to 50%, primarily within IndiaPreferred Qualifications:
Cellebrite product certifications (e.g., CCO, CCPA, CCME) or willingness to obtain themSystem and Network Administration CertificationsExperience delivering solutions in regulated, government, or law-enforcement environmentsxperience supporting high-availability, always-on services with defined service-level expectations
